Offshore wind energy exhibition opens in Gdansk

The new exhibition in Gdansk, Poland, shows the process of wind generation, the history of its use and the potential of the Baltic Sea for the development of offshore wind energy. Krystyna Czubówna became the narrator of the most important part of the exhibition. The heart of the exhibition is an interactive mock-up that illustrates the successive stages of offshore wind farm construction.

Visitors to the exhibition can also view photographs and films showing offshore wind energy development. The exhibition also features several unique artefacts donated to the organizers by key components suppliers for the Baltic offshore wind farms. These include fragments of submarine cables, ship models and a transformer station fan.

A similar role in the museum space will be played by a special education zone, where workshops and lectures will be held by educators from the National Maritime Museum in Gdansk and representatives of investors and the offshore wind market.

Equinor and Polenergia – energy companies jointly developing the Baltic Sea – are behind the creation of the new tourist attraction in the heart of the old city.
