PGE and Ørsted have signed an agreement for the transportation and installation of offshore transformer stations for the Baltica 2 project

PGE Group and Ørsted have selected a supplier to transport to the area of the future farm and install offshore substations for the Baltica 2 project, one of the two stages of the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm. The successful bidder Seaway7 is a world leader in the implementation of offshore wind projects. It will use both heavy lift and heavy transportation vessels to carry out the transportation and installation of the offshore substations. Work is scheduled to begin in 2026. PGE and Ørsted sign another agreement for exporting power from Baltica 2 project

The contract relates the execution of steerable drilling under the beach necessary for routing 275 kV cable lines and the construction of so-called “connection couplers,” i.e. posts connecting offshore cable lines with onshore cable lines. The works will be carried out by a consortium of Polish companies – ROMGOS Gwiazdowscy and ZRB Janicki.

Baltic Power with award for European Deal of The Year of the year 2023

Baltic Power, a joint project of the ORLEN Group and Northland Power, has been recognized and honored with the prestigious award for the best European financial transaction of the year 2023. This unique award highlights the importance of Poland’s first offshore wind farm in shaping the future of renewable energy sources in the region. PGE and Ørsted finalized all agreements for fleet to install wind turbines at Baltica 2 project

PGE Group and Ørsted have contracted vessels to install the second part of the wind turbines for the Baltica 2 project, one of two phases of the Baltica Offshore Wind Farm. The installation of wind turbines for Baltica 2 was divided into two phases, and the contractor for each phase was selected by separate tenders. Siemens Gamesa signs contract to supply wind turbines for Baltyk II and III offshore wind farms

Equinor and Polenergia have selected Siemens Gamesa as their wind turbine supplier for the Bałtyk II and Bałtyk III offshore wind farms located in the Baltic Sea. The two energy companies have signed final contracts for the production, delivery and service of 100 modern offshore wind turbines. The signed contracts are crucial for the development of the two projects. With a total capacity of 1,440 MW, they will provide green energy for more than two million Polish households and strengthen Poland’s energy security.
