PGE Baltica sp. z o.o., a company from the PGE Group responsible for the implementation of offshore wind farm projects, has published an extensive procurement plan for 2025. The document contains 33 planned procurement procedures to be launched in the current year.

The procurement plan primarily focuses on services related to the Baltica 1, Baltica 7, and Baltica 9 projects – key offshore wind farms being developed by the company. Among the planned orders, services concerning environmental, geological, archaeological studies, and technical consulting dominate.

The largest portion of orders pertains to preparatory work for the Baltica 9 project, for which the following are planned: comprehensive natural environment studies, preliminary geophysical campaign, geotechnical campaign, wind, wave and sea current measurements, as well as a conceptual design for power evacuation.

For the Baltica 1 project, which is in a more advanced development phase, the company plans to initiate procedures for FEED (Front End Engineering Design) for power evacuation and a construction design including obtaining a building permit for the power evacuation scope.

The majority of planned procedures (25 out of 33) have been classified as public procurement, meaning they will be conducted in accordance with Public Procurement Law regulations. The procurement schedule is spread throughout the year, with the highest concentration in the second and fourth quarters.

As noted in the document, “The Procurement Plan may be changed without prior notice and does not constitute a commitment to make a purchase.” The investor will adapt the plan to changing market conditions and project progress. Last year’s procurement plan included 27 planned procedures.

The publication of such an extensive procurement plan signals the intensification of PGE Baltica’s activities in preparing offshore wind farm projects, which constitute an important element of Poland’s energy transformation. These orders also create significant business opportunities for companies providing specialized services for the offshore wind sector.
