Gdynia Maritime University is currently admitting candidates to its English-taught bachelor’s degree programme in Ship Propulsion Plant and Offshore Construction Operation at the Faculty of Marine Engineering. By combining cutting-edge engineering knowledge with practical skills, the programme ensures graduates are in high demand on the job market.
During the 4-year (8 semesters) course, students will gain current technical knowledge and develop practical skills in the operation and design fundamentals of marine propulsion plants and offshore structures.
The degree programme in Ship Propulsion Plant and Offshore Construction Operation meets the standards of the International STCW Convention (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers), established by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), which guarantees recognition of the qualification worldwide.
Graduates are awarded the Polish engineering title of inżynier (equivalent to a Bachelor of Science in Engineering) and are highly valued by employers internationally. With excellent technical skills acquired during the programme and dedicated training in soft skills — such as team leadership — they are well positioned to take on managerial roles early in their careers.
